WATCH THIS SPACE

Hailsham Art Group has now closed for the winter. Classes will start at Gallery North again in spring 2013. If I can find another suitable, affordable venue we may have some more classes before then - I'll post details on here so 'watch this space'.
In the meantime, you might like to have a go at my step by step tutorial:

Life is sweet!

The Monday group get to grips with painting a colourful still life - Liquorice Allsorts - in Acrylics.

Whatever next..

Our Exercises in acrylics on Mon 8th/Tue 9th Oct went very well. We were trying different techniques and looking at colour mixing. My favourite bit is making glazes using opaque acrylic paints mixed with PVA glue.

Our next sessions on Mon 15th/ Tue 16th Oct will cover colourful Still life, in pastels for those that want to pursue the medium that we started with on our first session (bring a set of chalk pastels, A3 coloured paper, cotton buds or blending sticks, battery operated eraser if you have one) OR in whatever medium you like.

Remember to book your place in advance. £6 per session. 07505 007 049.

Group launch!

Hailsham Art Group will meet for the first time on Monday 17th September from 2-4pm and Tuesday 18th September from 6.30-8.30pm.

A new group formed in 2012, initially we will meet on Monday and Tuesday at Gallery North, 70 High Street, Hailsham.
The group can continue at the Gallery with 10 people. If the group builds up in size we can look at additional days and venues to accommodate numbers. The Gallery gets very cold in the winter so classes will either stop over the winter or we will need to find an alternative venue.

Meetings will be tutor lead with me, Josie Tipler giving a short demonstration. You can then work on your own project or I will give tips and advice. Those new to art are welcome as are those just wanting to improve their skills or work with others. You will need your own materials and equipment but there are also some materials available to use in return for a donation to Gallery North.

The subject and medium for each week's demonstration will be published a week in advance at Gallery North and here. We will work in a variety of media but note this is NOT a traditional watercolour class. I specialise in Acrylics but also work in pencil, pastel, alkyd oil, ink and mixed media including collage.

Fees will be £6 per person per session at Gallery North. Initially there will be no annual membership fee until numbers warrant a committee and constitution.

We will meet on all Mondays and Tuesdays in October and November 2012 except for Monday 22nd October.

If you are interested in coming along, please do get in touch.

Check the SUBJECTS page for what we'll be covering each week.
